Yeonsook Kim, PhD

Scientific Director, R&D

Dr. Yeonsook Kim holds a PhD in Biotechnology and has led government-funded research as a stem-cell scientist, building her career at the intersection of rigorous laboratory science and real-world application. Her work has focused on understanding how biological systems respond over time—knowledge that directly informs how YYY LAB approaches skin, scalp, and nutritional formulation.

At YYY LAB, Dr. Kim oversees research and development across skincare, haircare, and supplements. Rather than pursuing intensity for immediate impact, she designs formulations around tolerance, stability, and long-term performance—ensuring that active ingredients are not only effective, but also consistently usable.
Her approach extends beyond ingredient selection to the full system: concentration, synergy, delivery, texture, and real-world adherence. This is how YYY LAB elevates both Skincare & Haircare Yield and Supplement Yield—by turning scientific precision into products that support calm, resilient skin and hair over time.

What she brings

  • Research leadership grounded in biotechnology and stem-cell science
  • Formulation systems that prioritize tolerance, stability, and long-term use
  • Integrated R&D across skincare, haircare, and nutritional supplements
  • Science-driven standards that translate laboratory insight into everyday performance

Lina Oh, Pharm.D

Clinical Pharmacist & Formulation Safety Advisor

Lina Oh is a Doctor of Pharmacy and licensed pharmacist registered in both New York and New Jersey, currently practicing as an inpatient pharmacist in New York. Earlier in her career, she worked as a compounding pharmacist alongside dermatologists and OB-GYNs—building personalized formulas for patients and developing a deep, clinically grounded interest in thoughtful, niche skincare.

That dual foundation—hospital-level rigor and hands-on formulation work—shapes how she approaches product science: not just whether an ingredient is effective, but whether it is truly safe, stable, and appropriate for real people in real life.
At YYY LAB, Lina ensures our formulations meet a standard beyond innovation. She reviews ingredient safety, clinical relevance, and how products actually perform outside of a lab setting—so that what we put into our products is not only science-backed, but responsible and meaningful for everyday use.

What she brings

  • Clinical pharmacist perspective on ingredient safety, dosing, and formulation integrity
  • Compounding experience in collaboration with dermatologists and OB-GYNs, informing a nuanced view of skin-targeted actives
  • Real-world evaluation of how products perform beyond controlled settings
  • Science translation that makes complex formulation decisions clear, honest, and accessible
